Protection Crystals
I get asked about protection magic a lot. And I think what people want when they ask about protection is to find something that can prevent them from being negatively affected by unwanted energy or influences.
The truth is that not all protective crystals work the same. Which is great because there are a lot of things you might need protection from.
You may be seeking protection from things like other people’s stress or emotional energy; ill-wishing, cursing, or psychic attack; envy, fixation, or jealousy; sorcery; malevolent spirits or spirit attachments; manipulation or abuse; a run of bad luck or ill fortune; or even the bad vibes of a room, house, building, or plot of land.
You will need different crystals for different kinds of protection.
Black tourmaline repels lower, harmful frequencies.
Jet clears internalized emotional energy for empaths.
Labradorite shields against psychic attack, fixation and ill-wishing.
Fluorite cloaks your energy signature to avoid the effects of sorcery, psychic attack, or curses.
Blue kyanite keeps people from fucking with your head.
Black obsidian protects from fixation, sorcery, and ill fortune.
Dalmatian jasper transmutes negative energy.
Amethyst bolsters your own defenses by healing and strengthening your aura.
Jade protects against unwanted spirits and attachments.
Smokey quartz diminishes fear, bolsters your natural defenses, and is good for house and land spirits.
Protecting your Home
Selenite or Clear Quartz Grid
Infuse several selenite rods with your intention to protect the space from unwanted energies. Place one rod in each of the corners of the room. As you place a rod, imagine lines connecting it to each of the other rods to form a protective barrier. You could also use clear quartz crystals to accomplish this.
Entryway Guards
Place smokey quartz or obsidian on each window sill and the top of each door frame that leads outside the space you are trying to protect.
Watchtowers
Infuse an amethyst crystal with the intention to protect. Place it high on a book case, mantle, or shelf. From this position, the amethyst can emit a spiritually protective light into the space. You could use a large smokey quartz, black tourmaline, jet, black onyx, or black obsidian for this purpose.
